its been a while....

Hey people...

I finally have done something worth posting about!!!

I went to the “BIRDMONSTER” concert @ the Mercury Lounge, I got two tickets in advance, but since I do not know a single person who is into listening to bands they never heard of, I ended up going alone... oh well not the first time, not the last.

I got on the train and made sure I had both batteries for my cam, but then I realized I forgot my memory card at home, sucks for me, I got off at Atlantic Ave. and ran up to Target and picked myself up another memory and got back to the train platform in under 10 minutes!!!

well I went to wait for the M train, waited 30 minutes or so, and decided that it wasn’t coming and hopped onto a D train, and took a cab from grand to the Mercury lounge.

I got to the concert after "THE SAMMIES" set, and in the middle of "SOMEONE STILL LOVES YOU BORIS YELTSIN" set, a really fun group to watch, I am upset I missed the first 2/3's of their show, oh well so is life... T

After the Yeltsins were on "CATFISH HAVEN" went on, they were tremendous, and I am now a fan, and can’t wait to get there albums. There use of backup vocalists is something I have never seen in and indie band , it was nice to see them perform as a whole, and even Phil from "YELTSIN" came on for a while to play the cow bell.... it was an overall great set

At around 10:40 “BIRDMONSTER” got on stage and started to set up their gear, and shit. Peter Arcuni came over to me, said hi and that he remembered me from the show @ the Knitting Factory some months ago, that was cool, then he asked me if I wanted to get on stage and use a tambourine for a song, and that was really cool!!! It was cool, it was Alabama and it was a blast.

About the “BIRDMONSTER” set, at first I was skeptical because they were not going to play any new music, and I already heard them perform their current album the last time I saw them live. boy was I wrong, they are an amazing band on CD and even more spectacular live, they a life force on stage, and just amazing, and its was so great I took out my earplugs 3 songs into the set just to get the full effect of the music!

as u can see I had a blast, I got home went to Deli 52 w/ my friend Eli as we do every Thursday night, it was a good way to end the evening, I have to go get some shut eye, I need to be in class @ 9AM and I am working this weekend, kind of sucks, but it pays the bills...
